1102 Heights Boulevard, Houston, TX
The Milroy residence is one of two examples of design 30 from Barber’s “Cottage Souvenir No. 2” pattern book. I hope it has survived the storm damage intact. Anyone with information on the fate of this example and or current photos of this home please add a comment to this post.

Flooding was the main damage in Houston and since this house was in the “heights” I think it unlikely to have been in the flood zone. Both in New Orleans and Houston it seems the early settlers found the highest ground to build on. In the FYI category, the 1870’s Second Empire Fulton Mansion in hard hit Rockport survived Harvey but sustained some damage. Unknown is the fate of the Hoopes House in Rockport designed by David S. Hopkins.
